Experience the authentic Spanish surf life at Salinas Surf Camp, set in the charming coastal village of Salinas on Asturias' stunning northern coast. Just 10 minutes from Asturias International Airport, this renovated early 20th-century house offers a privileged beachfront location with waves almost 300 days a year. The camp sits in the heart of town, with cafes, restaurants, and the famous 2km crescent-shaped beach just steps away. Known for hosting the VANS Salinas Longboard Festival for over 15 years, this is a genuine surf destination where Spanish surf culture meets Atlantic perfection.
Accommodation
Stay in a beautifully restored historic house spread across 4 floors with capacity for up to 40 guests. Choose from 7 en-suite double/single rooms, a luxurious room with jacuzzi and private lounge, or social shared rooms for 4-10 people. The spacious 90m² living-kitchen area serves as the heart of the camp, while the garden with ocean views, two terraces, and outdoor showers create the perfect post-surf hangout. The garage doubles as a gym and theory classroom, and there's dedicated equipment storage with personal lockers for all guests.
Surf
Ride the consistent beach breaks of Playa de Salinas, an exposed northwest-facing beach that delivers quality waves year-round. The camp offers 2 daily surf classes with Spanish Surf Federation-certified instructors, starting with 15-minute theory sessions before hitting the water. All equipment is provided, from soft-tops for beginners to performance boards for advanced surfers. The instruction covers wave formation, tides, currents, and ocean safety, while surfskate and yoga sessions complement your water time. Whether you're catching your first whitewater or working on your turns, the mellow summer waves or powerful autumn swells have something for every level.
