Overview

Calima Surf is the first surf camp in Spain, operating since 1996 in the stunning Caleta de Famara on Lanzarote's northwest coast. With over 7,500 students per year and decades of experience, this legendary camp offers professional surf instruction in one of the Canary Islands' most beautiful natural settings, within a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Accommodation

Stay at the Calima Surf House, located just 100 meters from the beach in the Natural Reserve of Famara with breathtaking views of La Graciosa island. Rooms feature bed linen, bath towels, equipped kitchens, WiFi, and daily cleaning. Choose from private rooms or shared apartments designed for the surf lifestyle.

Surf

Playa de Famara is a 3-mile golden sand beach considered the best place to learn surfing in the Canary Islands. The beach offers consistent waves year-round, with autumn (September-December) providing ideal conditions - smaller swells, warm water, and less wind. Winter brings powerful Atlantic swells for more experienced surfers, while summer suits beginners and water sports enthusiasts.
